Transparency underpins a good sustainability strategy. Without transparency, achieving an accountable and better fashion industry is impossible. For us transparency means to openly share information about how, where and by whom a product is made. That is why we started A Better World to be transparent to you about our way of crafting garments, our supply chain, our business practices and our impacts to communities and environment.
Through our direct-to-farm project we do not only support farmers in making the transition from conventional to organic cotton growing, but we also increase the transparency along the supply chain with the direct-to-farm project. This transparency enables to trace, map and communicate the product journey through its supply chain. Our colleagues have visited the organic cotton farms in Turkey and India the past years. Our jeans buying team visits our manufacturers in Turkey and Pakistan on a regular basis. This is how close we work with our partners to craft clothing for you. And since we are so proud of our relations and want to show you where your clothing is made, we stepped up once more.
This time we offer a range of jeans not only made with in-conversion and organic cotton sourced through our direct-to-farm program, but we will also show you every step of the journey the products have traveled. Look out for the QR code on the hangtag, scan it and see where your new pair of jeans comes from.
In the product journey, everyone can see where the cotton was grown, the yarn was spun, the fabric was woven, and the jeans got stitched together. We show you every single stop of the production.
